RBC Insurance

RBC InsuranceIt is becoming more and more important, even law in some provinces, that a travel agent offer the client travel insurance when they buy a product. This is especially relevant when a consumer purchases something using a B2C site using an Internet connection that does not include the agent's intervention. Furthermore, travel insurance carries a very high commission percentage and can mean increasing profits if the agency is successful in selling it.

Comnet has partnered with RBC Insurance to automate the quote and booking process, which makes selling travel insurance easy and convenient. We have options for both B2B travel agents and B2C consumers.

Comnet offers two options. At any time the consumer or travel agent can click on "Insurance" and a template will appear. Once the appropriate information has been filled in, the application is forwarded to the RBC database, the information is processed and an insurance quote is presented back to the user. If the quote is accepted, the booking takes place on line. If the quote is declined, the user has an electronic verification that insurance was offered, but turned down by the client.

If the tour operator content is booked using the Comnet interface, the information required for an insurance quote, is automatically forwarded to the RBC database and a information is presented to the user. Again, the offer must be accepted or refused before the user is allowed to continue.
